About UsThe Compassionate Living Project was founded in 2004 by Neil and Annie Hornish. In 1995, Neil and Annie became vegan for ethical reasons. Since then, they have been involved with numerous humane education and animal rights advocacy efforts in the Connecticut area. Neil is the Director of Outreach for The Compassionate Living Project. Neil received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from Renssalear Polytechnic Institute. Neil is the first person in Connecticut to have obtained a Master of Education with a concentration in Humane Education. He is employed as a mechanical engineer and is a practitioner of the martial art of karate, in which he holds a third degree black belt. Annie is the Executive Producer of Animal Matters. Annie received a Bachelor of Science in Pathobiology from the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture, a Certificate in Cytotechnology from the University of Connecticut Health Center, and a Master of Business Administration from Western New England College. She is employed as a cytotechnologist. |
